044/440 Oilers

So a while back I bought the HO piston pump and control bolt to turn my oiler into a geyser. I now see that there are 2 different oilers that had been made for the 1128 series. The mounting holes are rotated almost 90* from each other and the piston pump has a completely different shoulder on it. The control bolts appear to be interchangeable. FWIW, the older style pump in which I speak of has "1128 A" stamped on it?
Am I able to upgrade this older style pump or no?

Yes Jeremy, there were definitely 2 different oilers for the 1128 saws. Not sure if the 1st gen oilers are upgrade-able.

HO oiler for the 044? This is the first I've ever heard of one. I know there's an HO pump for the 046/460. The pump piston from the HO 460 oiler is compatible to the 046 and MS-441 oil pumps but not the 044/440 oil pump. Of course you need the matching control bolt.

H/O Pump piston: 1128 647 0602
Matching control bolt: 1128 647 4803

Regular 046/460 pump piston: 1128 647 0606
Regular control bolt: 1128 647 4806

044/440 pump piston: 1128 647 0605
044/440 control bolt: 1128 647 4806

The only two 1128 oilers I know of are the one for the 044 and one for the 046. The 044 has a metal tube to feed the oiler slot and the 046 feeds thru the case.

I've never bought the whole HO kit. I've always modded the stop bolt so it would rotate farther. Everyone I've done that way slobbered oil afterwards.

Exactly!.
I was given an 046 oiler and was told it was an 044 oiler.
I didnt know, I had never seen one up close and this was in my early stages of our disease.
So if anyone wants an 046 oiler with upgraded control bolt and piston pump......I got one for ya.
I just think the stock 044 oiler I have is a tad on the stingy side when I run a 20" or more.

Hey Jeremy (nice name BTW) do you have a pic of the modded "stop bolt" or can you elaborate or illustrate for me......I'm a bit slow. Though not as slow as TK :thumbsup:

Face it Tom....ur a slow Yankee. That's twice as bad as a slow southerner. People expect us southerner's to be a bit slow anyways. :bananawheel:

Rant over. Gotta get ready for night #6 of the week. That's should make 61 or 62 hours this week. :facepalm:

if you fie the stops so it can be adjusted more ,it will oil better ,mine oils a 32 inch bar fine ,one of my saws I think it was over adjusted one time and broke the stops ,that screw goes round and round forever ,just have to do some trial and error to get best flow on that one
