266se brake band needed!

old style (band riveted to threaded rod)......any help out there?

Good Luck. I updated a 268 to a newer 272 style cover for same reason.

Ya the newer style with the plastic handle fits on easily. I had to put one on mine.

thanks for the info...anybody have any experience with the ones from hong kong (that sell for about 2/3 of the other aftermarket units and 1/2-1/4 of OEM)?

I've adapted longer brake bands from newer models to fit into the old ones before. Often you just have to heat and bend a hook on one side.

Had a 268/272 I had to put a new style on for a buyer. Couldnt find the old style band.


That reminds me Mitch I still have that metal brake handle and parts I gutted for you. :wheee:
