So i finally just heard back about my Brand New 372 x -torq................Piston and cylinder are fried and they want $700 to fix it and husqvarna said it was the gas to oil mix that burned it up and they wont cover it! Which is bull✖✖✖✖ because i use the same mix in all 4 of my saws and no probs with any of them, Normal 50:1 with prem gas, alil sta-bil and husky oil, very simple! When they told me that i went out to the shed and pulled the 142 i have apart and its not burned up at all! and that has some hours on it compared to the Brand New 372 which has less then 1 hour on it! Anyway since the saw wont be covered anyway im gonna just repair it myself, so if anyone can help me find an inexpensive piston and cylinder kit it would be much apprec. I found 1 on ebay for about $75 for an aftermarket kit but i really would rather fix it right then throw some cheap aluminum bs in it, if anyone can help out i would be very thankful.

How they can prove that it was your gas/oil mix that blew up the saw? Their story sounds fishy to me. I'd push the issue if I were you.

JJ is 100% rite get the saw and take it to another dealer and see what they say...
If the saw is apart and you can snap some pics and post them, the guys here maybe able to guild you in the rite direction.

Well i inquired about it and even called husqvarna and apperently they "the warrenty place i took it to" sent husqvarna pictures of the saw apart such as the piston and cylinder and husqvarna ruled it as a Operator miss-use cause by unproper mix ratio of gas:eek:il and they do not cover any gas or oil issues with the saws. Anyway like i said they wanted $700 to fix it and the guy service guy told me himself it should only take them about 2 to 2 1/2 hours to fix so even if they are getting the piston and cylinder for $100 they are charging me $250 an hour for labor!?......no thanks i can fix it myself for the cost of parts!...anyway if any of you guys are located in texas i will be looking for someone to work on and port this saw now that the warrenty is gone.

Unless you want to change it over to a non strato top end you'll have to go to husky to get a cylinder. I would check and see if the cylinder would clean up and install a new piston in it. Take it apart and post pictures so we can see what is wrong with it. The piston and cylinder is $330 online.

Your least expensive repair option is to send it to me. For $700 you better be getting a new piston, cylinder, and crank - along with a nice thank you card. I can fix it for far less than that.

Thats robbery IMHO. I'd fix my self too.

Also even though the 365 XT 70.7cc went up a $100 you can still get them for $660 out the door. They are the 372 XT like yours with dividers in the transfers. Remove transfers, grind that out, same saw. :bananacheers:

The picture in that ebay post isn't even a 372 cyl :wtf: I realize they go generic in some cases, but those are the ones I stay away from.
