And possibly other saws in the future - probably homeowner saws - appear to be getting FLIPPY CAPS. the RancherII IPL was released and along with an aesthetic upgrade here and there along with autotune, it's getting FLIPPY caps.

There's a disturbance in the force.............................:saywhat:

No big deal if the tank still accepts the old style caps. The part about the Stihl caps I hate isn't so much the flippy part. It's the "only goes in one way" thread design.

I didn't think flippy caps were threaded?

The 460II and 465II can't be that far away then, with 64cc. Specially the 460 has a low power output for 64cc though, but still more than the "old" 460 - and they are quite a bit lighter than the MS391/311.

I think the whole rancher family will probably be released at the same time, but the IPLs may not. Actually for that matter - I'm looking on the dealer interactive ipl not the old style PDF locator so they may actually be out already, just not in my lookup. I'll look today if I remember.

Didn't spike predict early 2013 for the 465RII, in some other thread, somewhere?

Not that I'm interested, but some will surely be!

Yes he did. I actually base most of my posts off his information

I was told by guys that have ran the T540 that the flippy cap just flips up to help you unscrew tool less. Unlike that stihl design. Thank Goodness.

I was getting worried I was going to have to switch to dolmar or something that doesn't have flippy caps.
