Anyone building or running a bikesaw? Here's a Carbon fiber framed 250 Honda we put together this winter for TJ Bexten to run in the STS......and it did win the qualifier. It's a shame TJ didn't make the finals, we were looking forward to running with the other fast bikesaws at STS in Pigeon Forge this June. The saw had another win at Missoula MT. just last week, so now we're considering going to Hayward WI. It's a long trip for us on the west coast, but I've made it before, back in 1996. Finished 3rd. We'll see.

Dennis, that's got to be the sickest looking saw you've built yet!

How much weight did the CF save over a traditional saw? Looks sweet.

In the class this saw would run in, ya gotta make 3 cuts, right??? Or is it just one cut down???

Slightly under 10 lbs. There's still more CF to add, so the weight can come down more. Also, possible bar work could subtract weight.

Yes, cold start, 3 cuts in 6" width of 18 to 20" wood. Very easy to cut out making 3 cuts in 6".

Here's a look at the tooth of hi-tooth 404 racechain that we're experimenting with on the 250 Honda. We're still running 1/2" too.

No doubt... Lot of saw there... The up cut would be challenging to say the least...

I've got one, it's ugly and for only a 250 it runs pretty good in
skilled hands.

We only see 16"+ wood once a year out here and that's at Boonville

Most of the time "big wood" is 13" round and bigger.
