Thinking about getting my concealed carry here in NY. It's a pain in the ass and holy crap is it ever expensive. But I've been wanting to get mine for a while now. Might jump on getting the paperwork next week.

Just curious if anyone carries and wondering whatcha got! :)

I think its good to have a permit for concealed carry. But, where I live its just not necessary. Be checkin out some good concealed carry holsters. Comfort is the name of the game IMHO

I've been wanting to get my permit for a few years now. I have no excuse really, it's easy as heck in Maine with a clear background. My piece isn't really much for concealed so I'd be looking for something else. A friend has an awesome little .38 with a holster that tucks into the waistline of your pants, don't even know its there. Nice setup.

Thats a nice set up Tom. I would carry a little 38 or a little Glock.

If I'm not at work, I'm armed.

As the old saying goes, "It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it ".

Ive never had love for the glocks. There fine pistols, just not my cup of tea.

I've carried everything from a full size 1911 Kimber, to a snub nose Colt detective special, and everything in between, but as of late, I've been carrying a Kel-Tec PF9. Light, compact and easy to conceal and has been dead nuts reliable for the 200 rounds it has thru it. Recoil is a bit snappy, but not uncontrollable.

Next time ur down my way Jason, I'll let ya give her a go :)

Cool. Ya know, an ankle holster is a good way to concealed as well.

I carry a Beretta .22 in my pocket when I'm going to be out in public.
I carry a Ballester-Molina .45ACP when I'm going top be somewhere where problems are more likely.
A Ruger Super Blackhawk in .45 long Colt sleeps by my bed with some of my "custom manstoppers" inside.

My lovely wife carries a S&W .38 with the overmolded Pachmayr grip and another dose of my special handloads.

I've carried 99% of the time in the last year. I've had my permit for several years, but never did religiously carry. We got a job in the ''BAD part of town'', and I started carrying 2 then :). After that job was over I was so used to them it didn't feel like such an inconvenience. Now its just like a habit and I don't even notice it, if my wallet goes in my pocket, my gun does too.

My wife also carries. She keeps a Smith J-frame Airweight 38 special in her pocket book. Shes a purty good shot too!:yup:
