And actually to extend Kevin's question - Are the tips readily available and reasonably priced?
both sugi hara and tsumura tips are under 20 bucks. you can pick up a tsumura tips from any tilton equipment dealer including a jonsered dealer.
sugi hara tips are available on ebay from the us distributor or a dealer who sells those bars.
as for how long they last, i havent had them long enough but from other users who use them day in and out seems to swear by the tsumura bars.
not too long ago i pick up 4 3/8 tsumura tips for under 10 each, so replacements are very easy to get imho if you choose to run these bars.
Definitely a good price on tips! And tsumura tips can be had at a jonny dealer? Thought that was a Total bar thing? Or are those bars/tips interchangeable? Jonsered is on my list of things to acquire lol just need some time to get there.
Likely true + with shorter bars, but the longer ones aren't equally light compared to other lighweight bars, as the percentage the cutouts represent is lesser......
best cost to weight is..........................sugi. $50 for the 20in bar.
That looks like one of the GB ones, not a PowerMatch.![]()
I got a bunch of scale pics for bars. I'll see if I can't get them loaded into this thread at some point.
And our scales differ, I got different weight for some of our common bars like the TechLite and standard rep.nose husky.
