I'm no mweba by any means, but I've had a couple questions about the powerhead clamp so I made a vid. The volume is terrible, I know.

Seriously though, I need one of these. Been brainstorming how to make one from scratch.

Gottsa make a trimmer one as well. I dislike trimmers.

I've posted a lot of home made ones in pics and wondered if you had something hidden away or not.

I just found stuff you can buy for bench with clamp head for trimmers and chainsaw adapter part too. I still think homemade is the way to go.

Pretty bad huh? Better than the Stihl price though.

This ended up as a "betcha can't" lunch break at work one rainy day.
All it is, is a busted ball hitch from the front of an air seeder tank. I split it with a grinder and welded on the bolts to adjust how much squeeze(pressure) is applies to the ball. welded in a nut to plug the hole in the ball, and welded in the attachment arm. You have to excuse the fit and finnish, with all the B.S and 1 hour on the clock, it wasn't to be pretty, but it works. It turned out so well, I kept it and it sits in my shop now. Handy thing to have. I was not sucessful with the self made trimmer holder............so I broke down and bought the stihl one. Love it!!! Remove two bolts it attachs to and I use the holes to bolt up the bar studs on saws. If I come across a bar stud pattern that don't fit, plenty of room to drill new patterns

Thanks TK. Now there is something else I want but can't have . . . .

I can help you guys with the trimmer stands. Sometime back I found a guy selling bicycle work stands to hold trimmers and chainsaw handles for shops. Tubing is tubing, right? Park Tool is one of the better manufacturers of these, but you can find other brands through catalogs, at garage sales, CraigsList, etc.

http://www.parktool.com/category/bench-wall-mount-stands There are also floor mounted versions.

I like the ball thingy, above, better for chainsaws, because of the positioning demonstrated, and because sometimes you remove the handle.

I'd be interested, but probably couldn't give you what it's worth.

Everything locks down in place with the Allen screw.

What is something like this worth?

If anyone is interested I'm always looking for trades. I could use a upper and lower receiver vice block for AR's

Or PMags
