The cheese melts through to the outside a little bit and becomes nice and crispy on the outside - coupled with the pork fat from the bacon you get a perfect crust on the outside of these burgers when seared hot enough.

Toss a little kosher salt and butchers pepper on them while cooking for an even better crust - they come out amazing.....

The Wendells and SteveNW are busting shirt buttons with pride with that cheddar stuff. Passing grade, but not a fan of the cheddar.
Try some mozzarella next time.
And a little char on that pulled pork is the ticket.

+3, cause a toasted bun is just good manners.

Oh good - a back seat driver.
