My first attempt at Duracoating, so far I'm pleased. Aerosol can in a can, "gold coast" is the color. Prepping and degreasing is the most important step. This kit contains 12 oz can of color and hardner inside you rupture before you spray, 6 oz can of cleaner and a small piece of 3m maroon scrub pad for $62. Blue nitrile gloves are recommended, blow dryer or heat gun is a plus between coatings of which they recommend 3 layers 5 minutes between. I did 4 at 10 minutes between and dried with a heat gun. I highly recommend doing this outside if at all possible, the fumes are stout.

True, but gunk has its way of coming off and working into areas that aren't supposed to have gunk in them.

General refinishing advice, may have zero impact on your particular project.
I hear you. I wouldn't have done someone else's gun in this manner, just want to see how it does. If it presents a problem, I'll blast it down and do over.

Biggest gun show in the country last week end and there were only 2 10mm glocks at the whole thing. I really want a used one with no papers, but it looks like I may have to buy new.
I am getting one soon.
