Funny your name is in the title....and had trouble finding it? :bananarope:

Lyme flour was finished yesterday, working on the mixing room now but the canvas pole bar is near complete.

What are it's dimensions? What did you have planned for it?

300' X 52' They were out of 300 X 50

Weener calves. Four rows, one down each side and two back to back in the center. Starting out with 325 crates. Really don't know what we are doing, figured it a good thing to throw money at just as corn prices go through the roof :saywhat:

Well I didn't wanna say it... Are these dairy calves already weaned when you get em? Looks like a good setup for them, but how heavy are you taking them up to before selling?

Holstein for beef. Should be in this building 4-5 weeks then out to the feed lot and sold at 450-500 lbs. That's the plan anyway.

Just to keep this thread on topic

Corn took a dump today... Contract now... It's gonna get ugly... If it works out ok, I'd like to know more details on how you did it!
I'm assuming they're 300-350 pounds when you get em'? Gonna be tough to get those gains...

No fresh weened. Milk feeders for 4-5 weeks then to the lot until they reach 450-500. Wasn't to clear on that bit. We have near 20000 bushel in the bin in case chit gets crazy.

Oohhhhh.... Wow!!! You're taking them from fresh born to backgrounded and ready for the fat boy feedlot!!! Cool... By the time they hit 500 lbs, beef prices are gonna be at an all time high probably. Still not sure if you would have been money ahead to just sell the corn...
Only the #'s will tell when you're done... I would be very grateful if you'd share your findings when you have them.
Until then, that's a cool freakin' building!!! :rock2:
