A local Scumbag (AdirondackStihl) has a fairly clean Stihl 08. I want it and I don't think the price of the saw is too far off but I think this guy does nasty things with sheep and I'm not sure I want to associate with someone like that. What should I do?

You don't have to associate with him to buy his stuff. Just make sure there's no funny substances on the saw when you pick it up.....

Exactly. Wear gloves if you touch it. The saw.

I forgot to mention that he is my BFF so this thread may be tough on him when he reads it or has his wife read it to him.

You calling him your BFF is pretty tough on everyone in the forum.

Don't forget the gloves.

The 08 stays on the shelf where it sits. She's not going anywhere unless I get desperate for cash. Theyre not worth a whole bunch....so I don't see it going anywhere. Oh.......hey Tom

EDIT: I know I have an ignition off an old 08S with a bad condenser.........does that help?
Now if I only knew where I put it......:saywhat:

It has to come from a TS350 or something with electronic ignition to work.
Let me look at the TS350 I have in the attic. I wont be home until 6 tonight however so you'll have to hang on for a bit and perhaps eat some wasabi peas

I like em.......they make me tough. :saywhat:

Those TS350 powerheads were used on lots of stuff. I repair a cable companies two stroke stuff, and those engines are used on the anchor drivers. I'm always looking for those for parts........
