Hey guys.

Changed all fuel lines, had it running. Here's where I'm having issues:

Adjusted the carb to get a leaner run, ran pretty good (no didn't run it too lean). Chain needed adjusting so stopped the saw, readjusted the chain and went back out to start it up.

Now it won't fire, and plug is wet. Spark still present and even tried with a different plug. No hiccups or chugs. Changed all carb settings back to 1-1/4 turn and still a wet plug.

Very frustrated!!! Help me out!!

Thanks!!

Well, don't overload me with all of the replies!!!! :-D

I've concluded:

My Stihl 028 will not start - used it about 3 weeks ago.

After my Titan has had fresh lines and a carb clean, surely it should start!

What a surprise! Both used the same fuel, which I bought new but chances are has accumulated moisture as no one in town would ever buy it (91 octane).

Both also ran good until they sat frozen over a fews nights and voila.

Lesson learned, K.I.S.S :-D

Has spark out of the cylinder or in? Color of spark? Almost ALL of these saws dropped out of service due to crap ignitions.

Widen the gap on the plug so that a half dollar fits. Does it still arc?

Sounds like bad gas if the other saw is acting up .

Drain them and put the good stuff in em !

Mweba. Good strong spark, better spark at paper width gap. Ran before I started putting junk fuel in it. Nitehawk - yes, plan on doing that before I run it again... May need an initial boost from my special engine starting spray :-)
