4200 tank vent

anyone know about tank vent on it? when on its side, getting fuelled up, cap off, is leakin gas all over, fill & put cap back on, it stops... some one have ipl or ideas? runs good on its side so not thinkin carb. TIA...

Easy fix. Go to your Husqvarna dealer and get a 530026119 'duck bill' valve. Should be around $3.

Remove the AF cover and AF. Look behind the carb (close to the rear handle) for an aluminum fitting that may or may not have a little hose sticking out of it. It is threaded into the top of the fuel tank.

Unscrew the fitting and clean all the melted black duckbill remains from it. There's a nipple on the underside of the fitting. Once you have it all cleaned up, slip the new duckbill onto that nipple.

Thread the fitting back into the tank and go cut wood.:thumbsup:

3400 seal numbers

I had a couple of links to crossed seal numbers for 3400 on AS, we know how that turned out......... Does anyone by chance know the national # , and would you please post it. I have a winter project.

The SKF # is 6119. National/Timken is 253747.
