I got a nice box from srcarr yesterday that had the roller bearing slide assembly in it. It works slick and is very sturdy. No more slop on the up/down on the bar. Makes grinding a lot easier since it feeds into the same spot every single time. No more trying to hold it up to get the same grind from tooth to tooth. Any one that has a RS II should have one of these to improve grinding ease. I'll get some more pictures later on today of it when I grind a couple more chains.

I was grinding my GTG chain last night and it was trying to pull strings off the chain stops as I advanced the chain... now that's sharp!

Here's a view of the chain I worked on last night. One side is still round. I got one side ground and decided to save a little for today.

It was a freebie from my BIL who works for asplundh. They must be real hard on chains. I rarely use new chains. I use what most people toss out. I sell or trade most of the new ones.

They need new drive rims/sprockets and/or to check for proper chain tension :D

That chain is for my 32" stihl ES wide nose bar. I use it for stumping stuff that a 24" or 28" won't do. I need to get a new chain for that bar so I'll have something else to use on it.

I just realized I don't have any other chains for that bar. I guess I should have kept more and sold less.
