Did stihl make a micro chain with a chisel style cutter for top handle saws/ little saws. Just wanting to find the fastest chain for my little climbing top handle saw.

BloodOnTheIce has a roll of it at his shop.
Being a chisel chain it bore cuts well. Still has a safety raker which can be ground off.

Sure, but it is tragic that they only offer the "3" version anyway....

Yes but it is a good smooth cutting chain. I use it on our Husky climbing saws. Been wanting to give it a try on the 339xp also.

I can imagine that - specially since there are no chisel chain in .325 NK.

Just got some 325, 21lp chain, 56dl, 50ga. Using the chain on my favorite small bar with the 339xp.

Husky is saying order the 339xp while supplies last!

I never thought of that, the 338 is going buhbye and that means the 339 goes with it....

50 gauge is 20LP(X), 21LP(X) is 58 gauge.

The LP chains surely are the best chisel option!

As you surely know, I already have a 339xp - and I don't use it enough to want more of them.

That saw is as well handling as they get, quite unique in its class, where the handles tend to be "cramped" too close together.

Very likely, and so far there are no indication of a rear handle 540xp - but it may happen anyway at some point
.

I can't imagine they'd make both variations at that price point. Looking at $700ish for a 541(?)xp and that just ain't gonna cut the mustard round these parts. 339xp was approx. $50 higher than the 338xpt correct?

I have no idea regarding the US prices, but the 543xp surely isn't a suitable replacement for the 339xp. The question is if they bother to replace it or not? :bananacheers:

Ya I was doing a play on numbers like the 338vs.339 saws, thinking the T540xp may become a rear handled 541xp..... The 543 is going to be a couple pounds heavier and I highly doubt it will hit US markets. It should, though, it would completely change my saw wall for sure.

There isn't much price difference here, and neither cost anywhere near what the 346xp did. Markets are different though, and I would be very surpriced if the 543xp doesn't turn up here.
